Reed named as a McKnight’s Women of Distinction Veteran VIP
Tina Reed, BSN, RN, has been named to the 2022 Veteran VIPs class in the McKnight’s Women of Distinction awards program. Reed is a director of clinical services for LCS, the nation’s second-largest senior living operator. The VIP category for industry veterans recognizes candidates with more than 15 years of experience who are making an impact on the senior living or skilled nursing fields and are at a level lower than vice president or its equivalent.
Reed’s career in both nursing and operations has afforded her many opportunities to make an impact in the lives of her patients and residents. As her career transitioned to senior living, she became an advocate for seniors, helping thousands of residents and their families navigate the healthcare system over the past 20 years. In her current role as Director of Clinical Services, Reed supports the regional and clinical teams in more than 40 communities.
Her commitment to serving others led her to help establish the ImpactLIFE committee in 2016, a not-for-profit foundation for the staff at Magnolia Springs Senior Living. The foundation provides financial support for staff when they face life’s hardships as well as scholarships for continuing education. To date, the foundation has raised over $200K in donations and provided more than $110K in financial assistance.
Reed and other nominees will be celebrated May 12, 2022, during the in-person 2022 McKnight’s Women of Distinction gala ceremony in Chicago. To learn more about the McKnight’s Women of Distinction award honorees, visit the McKnight’s Senior Living website.
Reed serves on the Argentum Clinical Quality Executives Roundtable and the Argentum Infection Control Strategy Workgroup, which supports senior living communities nationally.
