LCS Development has announced the completion of an expansion project at the Toby and Leon Cooperman Sinai Residences of Boca Raton. The project added 111 independent living residences – 74% of which are already occupied – and includes new and remodeled amenities at the community. LCS Development led the planning, lead development, sales process, and provided oversight on the design and construction services for the $160 million expansion project.

“This carefully planned project will provide extraordinary senior living residences and amenities and it is rewarding to see the tremendous response and occupancy of the new residences this early,” says Dan Novelli, senior project development manager, LCS Development. “We enjoyed being an integral part of this project to ensure the success of this community for generations to come.”

In addition to the addition of independent living residences, the project added two themed dining venues, a cocktail lounge, a large multi-purpose room, movie theater, pool with indoor/outdoor dining options and enhanced common areas. The existing fitness center and spa were also renovated as part of the expansion.

“As a 5-star luxury senior community, retaining the right partner is important for our community,” said Mel Lowell, Executive Director, Sinai Residences & Capital Projects, Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County. “The efforts of LCS Development have added value to our (now expanded) best-in-class community, that will attract residents for generations to come – we are thankful for the knowledge of the LCS Development team, and the commitment they demonstrated to our project.”

Other project partners include project architect LEO A DALY, interior designer Studio Six5, and investment banker HJ Sims. The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company acted as the general contractor and WGI, Inc. provided civil engineer/land planning services.
