The Veteran VIP category recognizes professionals with more than 15 years of experience who are making an impact on the senior living industry at levels leading up to vice president or its equivalent. 
 

Gardner’s career in senior living began with a college internship at an Assisted Living/Memory Care community while she was a student pursuing a Health Administration degree at Auburn University. That internship served as the foundation of a successful career that has served seniors and improved the industry for more than two decades. In her current role as director of operations management, Gardner provides strategic leadership and oversight for six LCS communities.  
 
Jaclyn is continually looking for ways to promote and improve the senior living industry. In 2019, that drive led to an innovate idea – LCS Chef of the Year– a premier event that brings talented LCS chefs to the center stage to compete in a multi-round, “Chopped-style” competition at the Sysco headquarters. The contest is changing perceptions about senior living dining and showcases the rewarding culinary careers in LCS-owned and managed communities. The event continues to grow each year – the 2023 event featured celebrity chef Christian Gill, who rose to culinary fame for victory on Beat Bobby Flay.
