Gallup Names LCS to 2024 Exceptional Workplace List

Jul 30, 2024
Gallup’s invitation-only award recognizes the most engaged workplace cultures in the world.

LCS, the nation’s third-largest senior living provider, has been selected as a 2024 Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award (GEWA) honoree. This is the second consecutive year LCS has been selected for Gallup’s invitation-only award that recognizes the most engaged workplace cultures in the world. LCS is one of only 60 companies selected by Gallup to receive an Exceptional Workplace Award this year.

“This award demonstrates our dedication to listening and responding to employee feedback which leads to exceptional organizational engagement,” said Monica Friedman, LCS EVP/Chief Human Resources Officer. “We are thankful Gallup has helped showcase the work we do to foster a culture where our employees can thrive, develop, and grow.”

The GEWA winners’ ratio of engaged employees to actively disengaged employees is 11 times higher than the global average. Worldwide, only 23% of employees are engaged — committed to their work and connected to their workplace — and just 33% of employees in the U.S. workforce are engaged. Seventy percent of employees at winning GEWA organizations are engaged.

On the LCS recognition, Gallup noted “This award recognizes the most engaged workplace cultures in the world. After another year of disruption in the workplace, Gallup found that LCS continued to engage and develop its people in innovative ways.”

This year, LCS was recognized as a Top Workplace USA winner. The J.D. Power 2023 U.S. Senior Living Satisfaction Study also recognized Life Care Services, An LCS Company, for the fifth consecutive year as #1 in Resident Satisfaction among Independent Senior Living Communities and #1 in Customer Satisfaction among Assisted Living/Memory Care Communities. The awards make Life Care Services the most awarded Senior Living Provider in the nation.
